MISSIONS
PREVENTION
Organising fire prevention at the airport
on a day-to-day basis. Ensuring that aircraft fuel supplies are totally
safe.
Contributing to the protection of the environment.
ACTION
Providing anyone in distress with
emergency medical attention in under 3 minutes.
Applying initial fire fighting measures within 3 minutes,
pending the arrival of the Alpes Maritimes Fire Brigade.
Sea rescue: Rescuing aircraft and their passengers from
the sea by the airport.
Protecting aircraft and passengers in the event of a
problem.
BIRD-STRIKE PREVENTION:
This department helps to
render the airport unattractive to birds in order to
make it safe for aircraft to move around.

THE FIRE STATION
We
are based at the SSLIA station in the reserved zone. This
is the department's operational centre; all intervention
requests are handled here.
