For the first time, the group has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, which has been awarded to just two airports in the world this year. Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur is thus among the top 5% of the 150,000 companies audited worldwide by EcoVadis and in the top 1% of companies in the same business sector.
With a score of 77/100, up 10 points in one year, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur has been awarded the Gold Medal by the Corporate Social Responsibility rating agency EcoVadis, which has audited more than 150,000 companies worldwide. The detailed assessment focuses on non-financial performance in four areas: the environment, social and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The measurement of seven indicators, based on 21 sustainability criteria, results in a score ranging from 0 to 100.
The Group's overall score has increased compared to 2024 thanks to it implementing additional policies and measures, and providing more detail in its CSR reporting.
The improvement is mainly due to a more precise change in the environmental policy and related results, such as checking and publishing the balance of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all scopes.
A revised policy and more detailed reporting of activities have resulted in this score improving.
The improvement is mainly due to implementing risk assessment and awareness-raising measures to tackle corruption and information security.
The integration of CSR criteria into our procurement and tendering policies, a more detailed consideration of Procurement in the inventory of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) in Scope 3, and more robust data reporting have led to a significant improvement in the score for this area.
The agency notes that “the company has a solid foundation, particularly in the environmental and social sectors. Recent work on ethics and sustainable procurement has led to a significant improvement in the rating.”
“This medal rewards of the efforts of all the teams at Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur and validates the ambitious approach of our new Strategic Plan, Azur 2030, which sets us precise, quantified, measured and time-sequenced objectives. Based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, they cover the environment, social issues, governance, ethics and the region,” explains Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Exectuive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur.
