On Sunday 17 May, Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur welcomed a direct flight from Boston for the first time. This new connection marks the airport’s seventh route to the United States – a market experiencing significant growth – and the third of those operated by Delta Air Lines.
A new direct service between the French Riviera and the United States has been launched each year since the end of the pandemic, reflecting both the region’s growing appeal to North American visitors and the strong interest that these destinations hold for residents of Southern France, Monaco and Northern Italy. More than 300,000 passengers travelled on these direct routes in 2025 – three times the figure recorded in 2019.
Operated by an A330-300 aircraft with a capacity of 282 seats (34 Business Class, 21 Premium Economy and 227 Economy), the service will operate three times per week from 17 May to 23 October. For Delta Air Lines, a long-standing airline partner at Aéroport Nice Côte d’Azur, this route represents a third transatlantic service from Nice, alongside flights to New York JFK and Atlanta.
“We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the teams at Delta Air Lines for once again demonstrating their confidence in and commitment to our region, which is the best connected to the United States in France after Paris. Delta Air Lines is our leading transatlantic partner in terms of both longevity and the number of routes and seats it operates,” states Franck Goldnadel, President of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
“Our new non-stop service between Nice and Boston, launched on 17 May, represents far more than just an additional route: it offers passengers on both sides of the Atlantic a simpler and more seamless travel experience. This new service complements our existing operations to New York JFK and Atlanta, increasing capacity in the market and demonstrating our long-term commitment to the region, which we have served for the past 35 years,” adds Eleonore Roger-Martin, Commercial Director France, Delta Air Lines.

The all-business-class airline La Compagnie has announced the extension of its Nice–New York (Newark) route for the 2026/2027 winter season.
