On May 21, 2025, SkyUp (U5) operated its first direct flight from Chișinău (Moldova) to Nice (France), opening a fast and convenient connection to the southern coast of France.
The new route opens up more travel opportunities to one of Europe's most iconic regions — the French Riviera. It attracts both those planning a summer vacation and travelers who value fast, direct air connections for work or business. Southern France is also a popular destination for family holidays, romantic getaways, and reunions with loved ones. The route is particularly convenient for travelers from Ukraine, as Chișinău Airport is one of the closest international hubs to the Ukrainian border, offering simple and efficient logistics.
“We are seeing growing demand for travel to the French Riviera, and we are glad to make this region even more accessible for our passengers. Our goal is to combine comfort, flexible fares, and quality service to make every trip simple and enjoyable. We sincerely thank the Nice Airport team for their effective partnership — together, we are building a strong connection between France and Eastern Europe,” said Dmytro Sieroukhov, CEO of SkyUp Airlines™.
Flights operate every Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are available at skyup.aero or through travel agents. SkyUp (U5) also operates flights to Paris (Beauvais Airport), introducing convenient year-round service between Moldova and France.
