Want to experience the magic of Cannes? From 12 to 25 May, head for Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, where surprises, glamour and Festival spirit await you.
In addition to the implementation of the European Health Pass, which allows people to travel more freely between countries, measures must be taken to ensure optimal conditions for checks on arrival at or departure from the airport. For this reason, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has decided to partially reopen Terminal 1 in order to operate certain international flights, particularly those coming from or heading to countries subject to controls on the authorisation to travel. This will enable the resources and personnel needed for verifying the documents that authorise entry to or exit from France to be widely deployed. It is also intended to reduce pressure on Terminal 2, which could otherwise experience bottlenecks related to these additional checks and effectively undermine the policy on quality of service for passengers.
At this stage of our traffic forecasts, the partial reopening of Terminal 1 will be in effect until 7 September.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, all of our airport partners have consistently demonstrated flexibility, agility, and adaptability, if not anticipation, to protect the health and also the comfort of our passengers. This reopening is part of this approach and will last as long as necessary,” explains Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
Several shops will reopen during this period, in particular to offer passengers a range of food and drink outlets.
