In recognition of the efforts made by the operator of this airport in the Var department, the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has issued it with its Safety 1st Clean certification. Across dozens of criteria, it covers all of the health recommendations established by the public authorities and represents the best practices in the sector.
While Nice Côte d’Azur Airport had already received ACI Health Accreditation – developed for the largest international hubs – at the start of the year, it’s now the turn of Golfe de Saint-Tropez Airport to be recognised for the excellence of its health protection policy on the basis of criteria appropriate to the airport's size and the requirements of its customers.
This certification was awarded to the airport after examining dozens of criteria, covering operations to clean and disinfect the buildings, its equipment and staff, and the implementation of preventive health protection measures in the terminal, as well as raising awareness amongst employees and training them in the appropriate measures for combatting the spread of the virus.
“This certification is important for Golfe de Saint-Tropez Airport and for the Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur Group as a whole, as the fight against the pandemic impacts commercial aviation as much as business aviation. As the operator of the airports, our commitment cannot be on a variable basis. It is our responsibility towards our region, and is a requirement for the return to normal air traffic,” explains Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.

Nice, France, 9 April 2025: Emirates, the world's largest international airline, has just passed the 3 million passenger milestone on its Nice-Dubai route. The airline currently operates a daily A380 flight from Nice Côte d'Azur year round, offering its customers access to more than 140 destinations via its hub in Dubai.
For the first time, the group has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, which has been awarded to just two airports in the world this year. Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur is thus among the top 5% of the 150,000 companies audited worldwide by EcoVadis and in the top 1% of companies in the same business sector.
