Where will a flight from Nice to Georgia take you? Geographers will tell you "to Asia". And that is true! But at the same time, this small country, which borders Russia and Turkey, is a member of the Council of Europe. Georgians have maintained this ambiguity since ancient times. They gave the Mediterranean people a taste for wine. They were among the Romans' most loyal allies and one of the very first peoples to convert to Christianity. Their mountains have even served as the backdrop for two of the most famous Greek myths: the quest for the Golden Fleece and Prometheus’ punishment, the mortal who stole fire from the gods.
In fact, you can still visit the cave where he was punished, which entails walking more than a kilometre through the bowels of the Earth, discovering stalactites, stalagmites and underground lakes.

In reality, Georgia is something of a Balkan enclave in the middle of Asia Minor.
