Nice Côte d’Azur Airport turned into a temple of fashion in time for its Fashion Week from 11 to 31 May 2018, the perfect opportunity to create a photo studio, invite current top fashion influencers and offer frequent passengers the chance to win 2 makeover sessions.
A fashion and beauty offer in the spotlight
The dates of the International Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix are conducive to the organisation of this type of event because they attract a large number of passengers who are responsive to the theme of glamour (fashion, beauty, luxury). This event helped to highlight the airport’s new jewel: the departure lounge in Terminal 2 with shops worthy of the largest airports, such as: Hermes, Hour Passion, Victoria’s Secret, The Kooples, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Multi-Marques featuring Etro, Zilli, Zegna, Paul & Shark, Tumi, Nolijo, Lacoste, Bensimon, without forgetting brands such as Fragonard and SoNice-L’Occitane en Provence, and many others.
The Misaki and Daniel Wellington pop-up stores, which were recently set up in both terminals, have just completed this offer, much to the delight of fashionistas.
Côte d’Azur influencers in AIRPORT STYLE mode
Their names are Antoine, Marine, Alexandre and Céline, more commonly known as Monsieur Lifestyle, Marine Johanna, BeauParleur and LifeStyleByCeline. They publish blogs devoted to fashion and even the Côte d’Azur art of living. In May 2018, these “influencers” participated in Operation AIRPORT STYLE. As all of them are used to travelling from Nice, they were charmed by this shopping experience and shared it with their community. They were voluntarily able to create an AIRPORT STYLE in tune with their own style.
A makeover session for passengers
Because it is important to offer enchantment in a customer relationship, CLUB AIRPORT PREMIER members (airport passenger club) have not been forgotten. Chosen from a random draw, Alain and Geraldine won a makeover session worthy of the best TV programs. For half a day and with the expert advice of two stylists, they were pampered especially for the occasion. After a few fittings, as well as make-up application and hairstyling for the lady, they were able to leave with a complete outfit, thanks to the advice of fashion experts from the magazine Grand Sud.
A temporary event extended by numerous relays
Operation AIRPORT STYLE was marked by several “testimonials” and highlights from passengers relayed by an ad-hoc creative event; the creation of inspiring look books was developed in the airport’s Business Centre by recreating a real photo studio! More than 50 looks, sourced from the airport shops, have been photographed in this temporary studio. From a digital perspective, in addition to the different “stories”, publications and influencer blog articles, an events website allows passengers to find out more about the looks, what happens backstage and the feedback from Club Airport Premier members regarding their makeover experience.
