Air Transat, named best leisure airline in the world, is proud to announce the return of its flights departing from Nice as of 4 May with its all-new Airbus A321neoLR to Montreal taking off.

The connection that unites France and Canada is invaluable. So it is a real pleasure for us to bring back our direct flights departing from Nice, which is a route that has been an integral part of our flight programme for over 30 years. We know that the passengers, whether for holiday or to see their loved ones, particularly appreciate the convenience of getting to their destination without any stopovers. So we are delighted to be able to offer them this service once more,” stated Cyril Cousin, Director of Air Transat France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany.

It’s a pleasure, both for the airport and for our entire region, to have Air Transat, a faithful partner of Nice Côte d'Azur, back to further connect it to North America. We also want to acknowledge the prolonged commitment, now lasting three years, to operating these flights with some of the greenest planes out there, which aligns with our commitment to decarbonating air transport,” stated Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.

At the peak of the season, there will be two direct flights each week between Nice and Montreal. Passengers will also be able to continue their journey to other Canadian towns with the domestic flights offered by Air Transat and ever to arrive in one town and leave from another with the multi-destination offer, which is very popular and practical so that you can explore the large country of Canada as well as possible. As for comfort, they will be travelling on the modern Air Transat fleet, which is made up entirely of Airbus aircraft, including the new A321neoLR, which is on all rotations departing from Nice, and which has the least environmental impact for its category, strengthening the airline’s commitment to reaching carbon neutrality by 2050.

Improved flexibility for passengers

In order to offer more flexibility to their customers, Air Transat is continuing to extend the conditions to change and cancel their fare options, both in Economy Class and Club Class.

So, from now on, passengers have the possibility to cancel their journey, regardless of the chosen fare option. For Eco Budget, Eco Standard and Club Standard prices, a $200 cancellation fee will be applied. Refunds will be given according to payment method on file. For Eco Flex and Club Flex prices, it is still possible to cancel without extra fees.

Also, the flexibility of changing flight route, in place since 1 December, will be continuing. This means that passengers have the option to change their travel dates and/or their destination without any fees up to 24 hours before they depart. There will only be a difference in prices.
