ZEGNA lands at Terminal 1
A few days before the Monaco Grand Prix, while the Cannes Film Festival was in full swing, Nice Airport had a surprise in store for Terminal 1 passengers.
Two months after its launch, and the opening of its first establishments in Italy and Hungary, the Sky Valet Connect label has signed a contract with the operator of the business aviation terminal at Avignon-Provence airport in France, in an effort to develop traffic on the platform.
Sky Valet Connect continues its growth in Europe with the announcement of its arrival in the business aviation terminal at Avignon-Provence airport. This terminal, which perfectly meets the demands of business flyers and is JS-BAH-certified, meets all the requirements of the Sky Valet Connect label. Located at the heart of the high-growth triangle that stretches from Montpellier to Marseilles, covering the Lubéron and Provence regions, Avignon-Provence airport plans to develop its business aviation traffic. With its hangars ideally suited to the parking of private aircraft, the airport actively contributes to the appeal and the vitality of a large territory.
“The faith that the operator of Avignon-Provence has shown in Sky Valet Connect reflects our ambition to strengthen our regional coverage in support of the growth of business aviation in Europe. This new destination confirms the strength of our strategy and represents another step forwards in our expansion programme”, declared Michel Tohane, Executive VP of Sky Valet and Director of the General Aviation BU of the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group
“We are delighted to join the Sky Valet network, and we are convinced that business aviation will be the major source of growth for Avignon-Provence airport”, continued Michel Maridet, Director of the Avignon-Provence airport company.
Through its Sky Valet Connect label, Sky Valet* has now established a foothold in two new countries. The first is Italy, where it is present at Cuneo International Airport, near Turin (Piedmont), a natural extension of the network’s Mediterranean locations. And in Bulgaria, with three destinations operated by Omega Aviation, representing the continuation of the company’s expansion in eastern Europe: Sofia, the capital, Bourgas, the country’s largest port and a tourist resort on the Black Sea, and Gorna Oryahovitsa, the only private international airport in the country.
Sky Valet is the first European FBO to develop a label backed by its brand and a co-branding strategy with other operators or airports.
*Sky Valet is also present in France (Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Paris-Le Bourget), Spain (Girona, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Ibiza, Malaga, Madrid, La Coruna and Santiago de Compostela) and Portugal (Porto, Cascais, Lisbon, Beja, Faro, Madeira and The Azores).
