Beginning on 6 December 2026, all flights between Nice and Paris-Orly will be operated with an Airbus A320neo, a next-generation aircraft that offers passengers greater comfort while reducing the environmental impact of operations.
Beginning on 6 December 2026, all flights between Paris-Orly and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport will be operated with an Airbus A320neo. This next-generation model reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by approximately 15% compared with the aircraft that it replaces, while reducing its noise footprint by up to 50%. The lower noise levels also create a quieter cabin environment, allowing passengers to enjoy a more comfortable experience on board.
“We are grateful to Transavia for deploying a next-generation aircraft on one of our most important routes. It offers significant benefits, foremost among them a substantial reduction in emissions compared with the aircraft previously operated on that route,” states Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
The cutting-edge aircraft will provide passengers with a more modern and comfortable cabin, featuring redesigned seats with wider cushions, increased personal space and individual USB ports. Travellers will also benefit from larger tray tables and more spacious overhead compartments. Their increased capacity allows up to eight cabin bags to be stored vertically, compared with five in standard overhead bins, meeting the expectations expressed by our customers.

After nearly three years of collaboration, the partners are planning a phased infrastructure rollout based on gaseous hydrogen, tailored to the initial volumes expected in the early 2030s.
Starting June 16, 2027, Air Canada will operate a direct flight between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Toronto. This third direct route to Canada brings the total number of long-haul routes to 18, including 11 to North America.
In the summer of 2027, American Airlines will operate a daily direct flight to New York JFK. This new route, served by the state-of-the-art Airbus A321XLR, brings the total number of long-haul flights to North America to 10, including four to New York.
