United is increasing seats on offer from Nice to the U.S. by over 30 per cent for summer 2025. New route builds on United’s existing nonstop seasonal service between Nice and New York/Newark.

NICE, 23 May 2025 – United Airlines has launched its new four-times weekly nonstop seasonal service between Nice Côte d'Azur Airport and its hub at Washington D.C., celebrating the arrival of the inaugural flight into Nice today. With the addition of this new route, United is increasing seats on offer from Nice to the U.S. by over 30 per cent for summer 2025.

The new service from Nice builds on United’s existing seasonal nonstop service between Nice and New York/Newark, year-round daily service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle 1 and its hubs at New York/Newark, Washington/Dulles and Chicago O’Hare, as well as almost year-round service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle 1 and San Francisco.

“We are excited to launch this further expansion of our route network from France to the U.S. and United’s first-ever service from Nice to Washington D.C.,” said Grégoire Dutoit, Country Sales Manager France, United Airlines. “Our new nonstop flight enables even greater travel choice for our customers in Nice and the Côte d'Azur region, who can now not only benefit from direct flights from Nice to both Washington D.C. and New York/Newark, but also the possibility to seamlessly connect via our hubs to over 130 destinations across the Americas.”

“We warmly thank United Airlines for its trust and for this new route to the capital of the United States, operated directly, synonymous with time savings and lower emissions,” said Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur. “It demonstrates the growing attractiveness of our territory to Americans, who are travelling to the Côte d'Azur in ever-increasing numbers each year, and responds to our desire to always better connect our territory to the major cities of the world,” said Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur.

The new route is part of United’s largest international expansion in its history, adding six new destinations and nine new routes across the Atlantic for customers this summer. United is launching five new flights from its hub in New York/Newark to destinations no other U.S. airline serves, including Nuuk, Greenland; Bilbao, Spain; Palermo, Italy; and Madeira Island and Faro, Portugal. The airline is also adding three new routes from Washington D.C./Dulles, including its first-ever flight to Dakar, Senegal operating year-round and new seasonal flights to Nice, France and Venice, Italy, as well as a new seasonal service between Rome and Denver.

United is the largest airline in the world, as measured by available seat miles, and flies to more international destinations than any other U.S. carrier. In total, this summer United will offer over 800 daily flights to and from 140 international destinations – including 32 that no other U.S. airline serves.
