United Airlines ramps up the Nice–Newark connection with daily flights in the summer of 2020
Published on 26-08-19
This new regular flight, on board a B767-300, will extend the existing offer from Nice Côte d’Azur, adding a connection with United Airlines’ New York hub. With 46 seats in business class, 22 in premium and 99 in economy, United Airlines is targeting a broad range of travellers and further enhancing the appeal of Région Sud.
United Airlines’ announcement of its plans to open a regular daily flight between its Newark-based hub and Nice Côte d’Azur further consolidates the strategic importance of France’s second-largest airport platform. Three flights will be on offer to New York: one to JFK and two to Newark. Moreover, United Airlines, which is the second American airline to operate a regular service at Nice Côte d’Azur, will link one of its major hubs to Région Sud, with connecting flights to all its destinations in North America.
“The arrival of United Airlines and this new regular flight represents an exceptional opportunity for the entire region, whose appeal to a high-potential clientele will be boosted. This new daily flight will supplement our daily flights by Delta Airlines to New York JFK and the 100% business service operated by La Compagnie to Newark, facilitating the return of North American tourists to the Riviera and strengthening the numerous cultural and economic ties between the two regions”, enthuses Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur.
