As of 10 April, passengers as well as tourism and events professionals can book “VIP Welcome service” on Nice Côte d'Azur Airport’s e-commerce platform. This online booking service on the airport’s website nice.aeroport.fr will change and simplify their habits.
Unknown to the general public, “VIP Welcome service” offer, on both arrival and departure, multilingual "personal assistants" who take care of everything. Throughout the journey to the airport and at each step of the way, they offer tailor-made support, under optimal conditions of comfort and well-being, with an essential human relationship for this type of high value added service.
Thanks to this new sales channel, professionals will have a response in less than 2 hours to organise trips for their most demanding customers.
In 2017, 2,600 VIP meet and greets for more than 6,000 passengers were carried out on the Nice platform: precise services for a clientele which is accustomed to a high level of service.
A little extra: A private vehicle waits for the customer on the runway, at the foot of the aircraft if it is parked offshore.
In the back office, VIP Welcome service rely on specific e-commerce development that the airport teams and their partner BLUE WAVE have been able to evolve as the customer requires. A software suite dedicated to operational monitoring has been developed, a unique business innovation for the airport.
It is composed of a Back Office software package to prepare support tasks and assign them to hostesses, and a mobile application allowing hostesses, from their tablet, to welcome the customer on day “D”, to support them and charge for any additional services, by means of a “bluetooth” mini-invoice. The software suite is interfaced with the airport’s flight information system, to obtain flight information in real-time (delays, cancellations, etc.) and to notify customers in advance, as well as the various service providers.
In an increasingly connected world, and even more so in the world of travel, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport continues to digitalise its services, including: parking space bookings, VIP lounges, E-concierge, flight ticket sales, hotels, car rental bookings.
