Nice Côte d'Azur Airport clusters all its operations in Terminal 2 and temporarily closes Terminal 1
In the context of the pandemic of covid-19 and the reduction of airline flight schedules, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport announces, as of March 16 th 24:00, the temporary closure of Terminal 1 and the switching of all its operations on the terminal 2. This reorganization should optimize passenger flows, secure their routes and optimally monitor public health obligations.
As of Monday, March 16, midnight, all air operations to and from Nice Côte d'Azur airport will be operated from Terminal 2 of France's second airport platform. This reorganization, imposed by the constraints inherent in the covid-19 pandemic, is part of a responsible approach to passenger management in accordance with the safety and security rules of air transport. Nice Côte d'Azur Airport has decided to take this step in order to optimize the management of passenger flows and without time limit to date.

A rare and highly anticipated event for the region, the airport officially inaugurated the extension of Terminal 2 on Monday 13 April, in the presence of Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transports; H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco; Laurent Hottiaux, Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes; Éric Ciotti, Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis; Charles-Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department; Alessandro Benetton, Chairman of Edizione and Mundys, the principal shareholder of ACA; and many other distinguished guests. The commissioning of this extension will enhance service quality and improve passenger flow for both departures and arrivals, while preparing the airport to meet the developments of the years ahead.
