Border crossing point at Golfe de Saint-Tropez international airport reopening

The Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur group is delighted with this decision by France’s Supreme Court, made public on the 17th May 2017, which guarantees the long-term activity and viability of the airport by authorising the return of incoming flights from outside the Schengen area all year round.
This is excellent news for the appeal and accessibility of the region. Golfe de Saint-Tropez international airport contributes to the development of air connections and, by attracting a high added-value clientele, has become an indispensable point of entry. Used by visitors and business travellers, in particular from the United Kingdom, Russia and elsewhere, the airport is a genuine lever for local economic activity.
All the personnel working for the airport and its partners, and for air operators in particular, received the Council of State’s decision with relief. The decision by the French Council of State, the nation’s highest administrative instance, is definitive. It undeniably heightens the visibility of all the region’s driving forces, as they work to develop economic activity and to create long-term jobs all year round.
This decision, which was welcomed by all the economic players around the Golfe de Saint Tropez, opens the way for perennial, rather than seasonal, growth, especially in tourism.
